Thursday, July 11th, 2024 – First day

Arrival and check-in at the hotel in Parma.

The evening will begin with a culinary journey in the Italian Food Valley: an ‘apericena’ in the splendid setting of Piazza Garibaldi in Parma that will introduce you to the unique tastes and aromas of Parmesan cuisine. You will taste carefully selected local delicacies while waiting for a musical event of rare beauty. Then, the much-awaited moment: the Concert in Piazza Duomo*, the heart of Parma’s historic center. Here, under the starry sky and surrounded by the majestic scenery of the square, you will be transported by Wagner’s powerful notes, conducted by the renowned maestro Kent Nagano and enriched by the enchanting voice of contralto Gerhild Romberger. An emotion that will leave you breathless.

Friday, July 12th, 2024 – Second day

Free time for cultural visits with this suggested itinerary to immerse yourself in the history and musical culture of Parma:
Toscanini Birthplace Museum Located in the heart of Parma. You will explore the house where the great conductor Arturo Toscanini was born and raised. You will admire memorabilia, historical documents, and personal items that tell the story of his life and extraordinary career.
San Francesco del Prato Church Where you will contemplate the frescoes and breathe the sacred atmosphere of this place that has a history linked to the world of music and culture. Over the years, it has hosted numerous musical performances, including some related to the Festival Toscanini, making it an even more significant place for classical music lovers.

Teatro Farnese di Parma An architectural gem located in the heart of Parma. You will observe it in its grandeur and discover the history and traditions related to this theater, which has hosted performances by internationally renowned artists.
Parma Cathedral and Baptistery A majestic Romanesque cathedral known for its Renaissance frescoes. Next to it is the Baptistery, a medieval architectural masterpiece with paintings by great masters such as Correggio. An enchanting journey through these splendid works of sacred art to better understand the history of the city.

In compliance with the provisions of Article 5, paragraph 1, letter e) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679, the personal data collected shall be stored in a form that allows the data subjects to be identified for a period of time that does not exceed that necessary to fulfil the relevant purposes, and in accordance with the obligations of law (purpose “a”); if consent is given, for 10 years or until consent is withdrawn (purpose “b”).
